Refund Policy
At ProVent Cleaning, we are committed to providing reliable and professional home services throughout the Kansas City metro area. This Refund & Cancellation Policy is designed to be fair to both our customers and our business, while also complying with consumer protection laws in Kansas and Missouri.
1. Cancellations & Rescheduling
• You may cancel or reschedule an appointment at least 24 hours in advance with no penalty.
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment may be subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
• If our technician arrives and cannot complete the service due to lack of access, unsafe conditions, or incorrect information, a $50 trip fee may apply.
2. Refunds for Services
• Dryer Vent Cleaning – If you are not satisfied with the cleaning service, please notify us within 48 hours. We will return once at no additional charge. If the issue cannot be resolved, a partial or full refund may be issued at our discretion.
• Installations (Light Fixtures, Ceiling Fans, Window Blinds, Doorknobs/Locks) – Installation services are non-refundable once completed, but we guarantee our workmanship for 7 days after service. If an installation issue arises within that time, we will return to correct it at no cost.
• Refunds are not available for customer-supplied products (fixtures, fans, blinds, locks). We are not responsible for manufacturer defects or product failures.
3. Deposits (If Applicable)
• Some jobs may require a deposit for special-order materials or extended scheduling. Deposits are non-refundable if the appointment is canceled with less than 48 hours’ notice.
4. Exceptions & Legal Rights
• Refunds will not be issued for problems outside our control, including:
• Pre-existing wiring, plumbing, or structural issues.
• Defective, incompatible, or improperly sized customer-provided products.
• Blockages or obstructions beyond standard dryer vent cleaning access.
• Under the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Cooling-Off Rule, customers may have up to 3 business days to cancel certain sales made in their home. This rule generally does not apply to scheduled home services that you request, but if you believe it applies to your situation, please contact us.
• This policy does not affect any additional rights you may have under Kansas or Missouri law.
